Optical thin film

Polarizers are the core components of liquid crystal displays, traditionally relying on TAC (triacetyl cellulose) films to support and protect the PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) polarizing layer. However, TAC films have the disadvantage of high water absorption, which can easily cause deformation due to water absorption in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, affecting display performance and reliability.

As an alternative to TAC, the advantages of COP membrane are mainly reflected in:

☆ Excellent moisture resistance (about 0.01%)

☆ Excellent optical performance (high transmittance >92% and low birefringence characteristics)

☆ Excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability (with a glass transition temperature of over 140°C)
